LIFESEED INTERNATIONAL TRUST (“LIT”) was formed January 29, 2007 for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. Specifically, the mission of LIT is to provide an incubator for the development of innovative technologies, products and services which provide sustainable and healthy living environments to individuals and communities around the world.
Grounded in sound universal principles, we preserve Intellectual Property in a trust for the greater good of humanity, while creating public awareness through education and economic empowerment of underserved communities through a mentoring program.
For-profit companies that are in alignment with the mission of LIT and who compliment our initiative will be able to license the products, technologies and services, being held in trust, for use in production and distribution of these innovations. Through these alliances, LIT will earn licensing fees and royalties as a source of revenue and also encourage added benefit to underserved communities through jobs provided by these manufacturers and distributors.
WHY A NON-PROFIT TRUST
- Fossil fuel costs at record levels and rising. Supplies are diminishing.
- The environmental impact of CO2 emissions has become clear.
- There is a grass-roots demand for energy independence through efficient and low cost alternatives to fossil fuels as a primary source of power.
- Significant inventions have not come to market due to lack of funding or insufficient education.
- Patents for some inventions have actually been purchased and subsequently shelved; creating reluctance among inventors to use traditional ways to bring their inventions to the public.
- There is an underserved population of brilliant scientists and engineers that are creating solutions to the world’s current challenges.

OUR FOCUS
RESEARCH GRANTS:
Grant applicants that have projects or programs which alignment with our mission of improving quality of life through life-sustaining technology or services and have been disadvantaged in bringing their project forward may apply for funding through LIT.
LIT will provide scientists/innovators project funding to pay for prototype development, testing, regulations approval, final specification development and intellectual property protection. Initially, LIT is focusing on alternative power solutions for the global population such as solar, wind and hydro-power. The scope, over time, may grow to include other technologies that improve the quality of life such as water purification or natural and affordable building materials and systems.
Our goal is to provide resources for new and efficient, yet affordable products and solutions that would not otherwise have an avenue to be tested and brought to market. We expect these solutions, if they are products, would be brought through prototype stage and made ready for licensing to third party manufacturers and distributors. If the solutions are services, they would be researched, tested and made ready for training and implementation.
EDUCATION:
For the public:
LIT will communicate its mission to the public while providing valuable education related to new technologies and services that are currently becoming available. This education will be made available through consulting services and technical advice provided in person, through printed materials and on the internet. Plans for educational activities include mentoring individuals from disadvantaged communities and collaboration with a college or university on educational projects.
For the scientific/creative community:
LIT will participate as presenters and/or by staffing booths at conferences and seminars that focus on the global impact of making available affordable and life-giving technologies to people of the world. Additionally, funds will be made available to scientists/inventors for creating and providing educational programs to share their expertise in these same venues.
LIT will also focus on creating awareness with independent scientists/inventors about use of a Technology Trust structure for bringing forth new technologies so they will embrace the value of “continuously giving back” by preserving the intellectual property in the Technology Trust.
